It was possible for the state machine to get stuck when
user interaction and animations both completed before success
was detected. This fixes the problem by explicitly advancing
the state machine when an up event is detected.

This warning doesn't really matter much. If a developer wants to
debug the cache usage, it can be done by turning on this flag.
adb bugreport also displays cachestats - which can be used as a debugging tool.

Modal multi-choice mode action modes will now be restarted when
restoring instance state provided that the application has set a
multi-choice mode callback before instance state is restored. This
matches other list state restoration behavior with adapters.

When handling large images during an update of a widget,
we can run out of memory in the Binder thread. This will
cause an OutOfMemoryError to be thrown. When an Error is
thrown in the Binder thread, the entire system will crash.
This was fixed by catching this OutOfMemoryError and instead
throw a RuntimeException to keep the system alive.

getCheckedItemCount after orientation change
Remove the restriction on choice modes for GridView - this is handled
by common code in AbsListView. Persist the checked item count in saved
instance state.

request a layout when asking the transparent region to be recomputed, without this
it may never happen, since the transparent region is only calculated during layout.
this also fixes an issue where some fullscreen apps will run slower than expected
because their transparent region is never processed.

Also add a new interface that items in AbsListView can implement to
adjust the bounds of the selection shown for them. This will allow
contacts to use list view's regular selection facility rather than
implementing something special in their item views.

The file themes_extended is meant to be overridden per-device in an
overlay file. The overlay should include enhancements appropriate for
the device when hardware acceleration is requested by an app.

Add a method to the test utils which waits to accept a bonding request from
another device. This is identical to the pairing method except that it
waits for a remote pair request instead of initiating the pairing
request itself. Also, add a test method to the test utils.
